Meet Dr. Melanie Little - Dentist & Studio Owner
Hello, I’m Dr. Melanie Little, DDS, BSc (Hons), and I completed my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, with distinction, at the University of Toronto, in 2004. Before that, after leaving the UK, I obtained my Bachelor of Science, with honours, at The University of Toronto. I’m proud to sit on the Restoring Smiles Executive Team, part of the Borneo Meisami Commemorative Foundation. Restoring Smiles provides free dental and oro-facial reconstructive services to women who have survived domestic violence, giving them the confidence to rebuild their life. I am a member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and West Toronto Dental Society. I have a keen interest in keeping current with dentistry, having completed the prestigious Gordon Christensen’s fellowship, programs within the renowned Las Vegas Institute and Spears Education Program, courses in TMJ, cosmetics, Botox, implants, crowns, early childhood interceptive orthodontics, pediatric dentistry and much more. I never stop investing in my knowledge.
I wanted to start Roncy Dental Studio to create a dental center that offers comprehensive oral care. I want to create a studio where we can perform the art of excellent dentistry, in a relaxing environment, with the patient being the bottom line. When you meet me, I’ll give you time, listen and involve you in your care.
Roncy Dental Studio was designed with my patients’ comfort being priority. From the relaxing reception area to the treatment rooms with televisions for patients to watch Netflix during treatments, every detail has been thought of to provide a dentistry experience with a difference. Meet Dr. Justin Garbedian - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Justin Garbedian, BSc, DDS, MSc, FRCD(C), completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto. During his time there, he received multiple academic awards and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Honour Society, a distinction awarded to the top students of his graduating class. After graduation, Dr. Garbedian pursued a hospital dental residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto which then led to hospital-based residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Toronto. During his residency, Dr. Garbedian completed a Master of Science. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and maintains a specialty license with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. In addition to providing patient care at Roncy Dental Studio, he is the owner of Lakeridge Oral Surgery. Dr. Garbedian is a staff surgeon at The Hospital for Sick Children and Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. At these institutions he is involved in the education and training of residents in the postgraduate Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery program at the University of Toronto.
When asked about the specialty of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery he said, “I did five additional years of surgical training within the hospital. Surgery isn’t just about taking out a tooth or putting in an implant. Oral surgery is about predicting outcomes, dealing with complications, and creating the best experience for the patients – that’s what we do as specialists.” Roncy Dental is privileged to have Dr. Garbedian as one of our key team members, and we look forward to offering his services to our patients.
Meet Lianne Calder – Dental Hygienist
Lianne embarked on her journey as a dental hygienist following her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and Art History from the University of Toronto in 2007. Driven by a passion for healthcare, she honed her skills at George Brown College, earning her diploma in dental hygiene from 2008 to 2010. Equipped with knowledge and practical experience, Lianne emerged prepared for the challenges of improving oral health.
Since then, Lianne has devoted herself to providing exceptional care, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each patient. Her warm demeanor and gentle techniques have earned her praise, particularly from patients anxious about dental visits. Committed to staying at the forefront of dentistry, she regularly updates her skills through workshops and seminars, ensuring patients receive the benefits of modern techniques and technology. At Roncy Dental Studio, Lianne's dedication to promoting good oral health has made her an invaluable asset, and she looks forward to welcoming new patients to her care.
